Dreamweaver File Checklist

Home Page – The index file is what you will use to create the home page for your web site. The index file will contain a menu bar with links to each other page you make available to your audience to navigate through.
Other Pages – You can create many different pages for your viewers to navigate through on your web site. A page can be dedicated to whatever the user chooses, from a page containing mostly text to a page dedicated to providing the viewer with a way to contact the web site creator.
Necessary Files – There are many files necessary to create a well planned website. The index.html file is one of the most important because that is where the users audience will begin their journey through the web site. There can be more files depending on what the user wants their web site to contain. For example in this web site there is also a history.html file, which leads the viewer to a page dedicated to describing thw history of Dreamweaver.
Cascading Style Sheets – No web site is complete without a .css file, which is a cascading style sheet. A .css file allows the user to deign the various .html files that they have in the root folder of their web site. Without a cascading style sheet, a webpage would be pretty boring.

Basic Dreamweaver Tips

Select how many pages you want your web site to contain.
Creat a menu bar to allow viewers the capability to navigate from one page to another.
Use cascading style sheets to design the various .html files you have saved in your root folder.
Choose the files you create according to your web site objectives.
Generally, you want to keep your site simple, but still keep it engaging to your intended audience.
